Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Of course, we had to include the tournament champs. Bott, like many of the other players we’ll see on this list, can carry a dual role as a setter-hitter in any lineup. She dished a quick, precise offense for Manhattan Mayhem last weekend and had a knack for finding the hot hand at the right times. We didn’t know what to expect from the Kansas crew in Des Moines, but Bott left an impression that will permeate our entire coverage of the 2026 season. This won’t be the last time we see Manhattan Mayhem this spring.

Bott is ranked No. 53 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She finished her junior season with 83 aces in 88 sets played for the Bulldogs. Her serving accuracy totaled out at 91 percent. She also dished out 479 assists last fall. I was also surprised by the number of setters qualified for this report.

The Linn Bulldogs are a talented team that finished as state runners-up in Class IA DII. Bott led the Bulldogs in kills with 375 in 88 sets played. She will make a run at the 1,000-career kill and dig benchmarks next season. She will enter her senior season with career totals of 788 kills and 803 digs. She is already a member of the 1,000-assist club. She dished out 479 assists last season and has a total of 1,298 through three prep seasons. It is rare to find an athlete who leads the team in assists and kills. Bott is a special “Unicorn-Type” Athlete. I hope I get to see her play in person during the club season.
