Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Levinson gave us year-round thrills through her play at the middle blocker position. Her quickness off the floor led to some impressive highlight tapes throughout her prep and high school careers. The Maryville (MO) signee was a crucial contributor to Gretna East’s tournament breakthrough in the team’s inaugural season in 2023. This year, Levinson put down a career-best three kills per set on an equally impressive 0.366 hitting clip. We’re eager to see her dominance continue at the next level.

Class B is staked with game-changing middle blockers. Levinson adds to this conversation and has maintained her leading role in the Gretna East frontcourt. Her production has soared to three kills per set this year–a nearly one-kill-per-set improvement over Levinson’s 2023 output. The Griffins set a high bar last year after reaching the tournament in the school’s inaugural volleyball season. However, Levinson and her team have had no problem rising to that level again in Year 2. Another Lincoln trip is looming.

Levinson recently gave her collegiate pledge to Maryville after playing some of the best volleyball of her prep career. This hot streak extends to her debut season at Gretna East, where Levinson was a terminal force for the first-year school. Her reign continued with Premier Nebraska 17 Black and led to an outstanding stay in Las Vegas for GJNC. Levinson’s swan song season at Gretna East should result in another trip to the Class B postseason.

Levinson runs every route you’d want to see from a middle. She was particularly effective on the ‘gap’ set that puts a lot of stress on opposing blockers who aren’t properly positioned. Gretna East found a way to use Levinson even on passes that weren’t perfect, making the Griffins even more difficult to defend. It’s no wonder why this first-year school asserted itself in the Class B discussion right away.
