I recently found myself at a college camp and got the chance to watch Vaalemoen in action (honestly, you would be surprised at all the places I might show up to watch volleyball) . For about an hour, I watched her run the court along with players she had never played with before and she handled it well. She quickly found connections with her hitters and did a nice job spreading out the offense. Vaalemoen consistently delivered a clean, consistent ball which allowed her new teammates to settle in and begin terminating with ease. Not only was she able to play her position, but she was a leader on the court and made those around her better.
