I have had the chance to watch Corson quite a bit over the past two years since she plays in the same conference that I coach in, so I was excited to see her again at the showcase. She’s been a steady libero for Fillmore Central and continues to do all of the little things well. You can tell she has been coached the right way. She gets her platform out early, moves efficiently, and does a great job reading hitters and anticipating where the ball is going. In addition, she chased down everything, never gave up on a play, and brought a steady presence to the back row. Those skills really stood out at the showcase.

After stepping into the libero role last season, Corson quickly became the backbone of Fillmore Central’s defense. In addition to handling the bulk of the serve receive duties, she also piled up an incredible 582 digs, showcasing not only consistency but toughness. During the offseason, she continued to develop her game, get reps, and build chemistry with her teammates through her schools JO program, Falcon Fire. As Fillmore Central looks to extend its impressive run in back to back state tournament appearances, she is expected to play a major role.
