Barbee was part of the dual libero system CRU Max ran in Vegas, and the team played excellent back-row defense overall while competing in the USA Division. In a match against Dead Frog 17 Black, Barbee hung tough against huge swings. She will absorb a swing and take enough off the hard shot that the dig keeps her setter out of the net and lets the team run a solid transition offense. Barbee also has a terrific push forward on a ball that’s out front of her, and she has the quickness and length to get to it and keep the rally alive.

Barbee was impressive at the Emerald City Classic and had been on the radar for rankings since playing well as a sophomore defender for West Valley Yakima. She has shown not only the steady consistent passing you need in serve receive, but a knack for digging out tips and shots headed to the hard angle. Barbee will look to have a big season for a West Valley Yakima team that has been consistently in the state tournament.

Cru 16 Baden libero Barbee plays with poise and a high volleyball IQ. The West Valley Yakima prospect has good lateral movement and showed a controlled and fluid serve-receive game. Her team pushed hard for a spot in the finals in the 16 Division, dropping a three-set match to RVC Kari. On day one, Barbee helped her squad knock off eventual champions CPA 16 Drew, it was an excellent overall weekend for CRU 16. Barbee has a great feel for when a ball is in/out, and rarely makes the wrong choice.
