About Isabella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as being aggressive, positive, full of energy, and focused.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a bright, supportive, and bubbly personality. I set goals for myself and work very hard to achieve them so I have a focused and determined mindset.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my schools Student Council as President. Yes, I have received many awards for my straight A grades as well as winning my school’s essay contest. I won MVP on my school Varsity volleyball team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and teamwork qualities as the Student Council President. I also did community service as a tutor at my school which helped develop patience and problem solving. Over the summer I also did community service at Blue Star Moms veteran meetings. The skills I developed from this were organization, time management, and communication.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

In the academic sense, I want to go to a law school that also has a sports program so I pursue my volleyball and law careers.

Isabella played with confidence, energy, and an intentional focus on being selfless, treating her teammates’ success like her own. Her weekend showed real versatility, stepping into middle when a teammate got injured, then contributing with blocking and steady emotional presence when her team needed it. She is proud of blocking and adaptability, but what stands out is her commitment to supporting teammates through tough stretches, not just scoring. Next, she wants to become a more efficient blocker by reading the setter and anticipating hitter movement, and she shared a memorable coaching cue that will stick with her, moving quickly to the pin on a bad pass and lining up to take away angles. Off the court, she was recommended for her school’s Peer Helping program, a step toward becoming a TA.

Isabella’s next tournament is the NCVA Power League Qualifier, January 24 to 25.
