Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Larson is listed as an outside hitter in our database, but that narrative has evolved since she appeared at our Nebraska Exposure Tour event last December. She was a lockdown passer at our showcase, particularly while anchoring Zone 6 in the serve-receive pattern. Larson’s ball control skills have brought her into a steady libero role with Nebraska Elite 17 Echo, a group that piled up early wins at Great Plains Region venues. We’re eager to see what this Norfolk standout brings as 17 Echo looks ahead to a busy spring-to-summer stretch.

Larson’s positional range keeps expanding. Our last run-in with the Norfolk native was at last December’s Nebraska Exposure Tour, where she oscillated between defensive roles and hitting reps. She suited up for Nebraska Elite at Sunday’s event and boosted her stock further as the team’s leading defender. Larson is incredibly comfortable in the libero jersey and doesn’t hesitate to fill open seams in the passing pattern. Depth is on the rise in Nebraska Elite’s 2027 camp.

Larson is the kind of defender who wants to be right in the middle of the action. Her best showcase moments came in the middle-back area, which reflects her vast prep experience as a left-side hitter. The Norfolk junior was primarily a DS at Saturday’s showcase and was a rock-solid passer in serve-receive drills. Larson wasn’t afraid to take the initiative on tough seam balls and deliver pinpoint contacts to her setter. This year’s strong season with Norfolk has brought out the best in Larson, and she’ll look forward to carrying that into the Nebraska Elite gym in 2026.

The Norfolk-to-Nebraska Elite pipeline is strong in this feature. Larson plays up a year in the Nebraska Elite gym and has slotted into just about every position imaginable. She has an impressive highlight tape as a pin hitter and contributes to Nebraska Elite’s passing and defense, too. Larson has also earned recent reps in the middle and exhibits her physicality at that spot. This is a fascinating “wildcard” player to follow in the Class of 2027.
