First Match: vs. FORZA1 14 ONE

Isabella Torres, class of 2029, is a middle blocker for PCVC 14-1 Nalu with a 10-foot approach jump and a 3.8 GPA. As she heads into the Salt Lake Showdown, Isabella is most excited to showcase the blocking skills she’s been working hard to refine, particularly her timing and pressing technique with the help of her coaches. She’s also eager to demonstrate her offensive versatility, running slides and 3s with her setter, and expanding her toolbox with a mix of tips and roll shots.

Her goals for this tournament are clear: help her team earn a bid by securing gold in the USA Volleyball division. She’s also focused on being a more vocal and positive presence on the court, always available as a setting option.

In preparation, Isabella has dedicated herself to increasing flexibility through consistent stretching and improving her speed to adjust to a faster tempo. She’s also fueling her body with protein and greens to stay strong throughout the long tournament weekend.
