Guilherme Torres | Prep Dig Scout
Canon will be with McAllen Fierce 17-1 in the tournament’s 17 Bid Division. Her reputation continues to grow in the Lone Star State as she keeps adding new tools to her game on the back row. Cano’s game is very mature and consistent because it’s strongly built on her ability to anticipate plays and be one step ahead of everyone else on the back row. The ball seems to just naturally come her way, and when that happens, she’s always ready to deal with it, getting her body in the perfect shape to get it wherever she needs it to go. Her performances tend to be very consistent, adding a desirable level of stability to her team.

played with a strong sense of discipline in both serve-receive and defense. She stayed low, kept her platform angled, and consistently put the ball where it needed to be. Against aggressive serving, she didn’t panic—she managed spin and pace and kept her passes inside the system. Defensively, she was sharp in her reads and didn’t drift, holding her position and letting the play come to her. Her communication helped keep the back row organized, especially when the pace picked up. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

, a Class of 2027 libero from Sharyland Pioneer High School in Mission and McAllen Fierce Volleyball Club, currently ranked No. 43 overall in the Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, is exactly the kind of prospect that gets looked over because of where she plays and exactly the kind that coaches who do their homework end up winning a recruiting cycle with. Prep Dig has said it plainly before and it bears repeating here: some lucky coach is going to win the lottery when they scoop her up, and the Salt Lake City Showdown was one more reminder of why that statement is not hype. Her ability to create angles and soften contact with her platform is genuinely unmatched in the south Texas region, and when she steps into a bigger national setting she simply transfers that skill without blinking. What makes her special beyond the technique is the way she processes the game. Her reads are sharp, her positioning is early, and she consistently delivers passes that put her offense in a position to run fast and efficiently rather than scrambling. She has always been playing up against older and more experienced competition at the club level, absorbing that experience and turning it into polish that shows up clearly on film. Now she is back to playing with her true age group/grad class and continues to put on technical clinics on the court as she produces stellar results that younger players should be emulating. A team that gives her a chance will not just be getting a libero, they will be getting a player who changes how their offense operates from the very first day she steps on the practice court. Izabella is a phenom from the Rio Grande Valley and the clock is ticking for programs that have not yet made that call. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

Cano and her McAllen Fierce 17-1 team will be among the 16 sides appearing in the 17 Open division. She’s rightfully developed a reputation as one of the best liberos in her age group in Texas and is a difference-maker even when playing up. Expect Cano to be one of the pillars of her team with her ability to completely dominate in serve-receive and keep her team in system. Her technical skills are as solid as it gets, but what sets her apart is her incredible mental toughness, which pushes her to make the right moves and actions time and time again and helps her deal with moments of adversity. Cano is not a player who will struggle when her team needs her and her consistency is another key aspect of her game.

Izabella is currently ranked as the 49th best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Sharyland Pioneer High School and plays club for the McAllen Fierce volleyball program. I have watched this young lady get better and better over the last few years and it is remarkable what she has accomplished. Watching her highlights online does not do her in person skills justice at all. I strongly encourage all college coaches to see her fast footwork, attention to detail, and control over her movements in person and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Having coached Bella up close and personal in a clinic setting a few times, I can vouch for her desire to get better and be super coachable with direction. Her entire body is very strong and she has such great body control and discipline in her shoulders staying low. What often gets overlooked in her play is how athletic she is. Her school team uses her athleticism in order to bolster their offense and it has worked over the last two years. The back row is where she truly excels. There is no doubt in my mind that she will be one of the next great liberos to come out of the Rio Grande Valley area. Some lucky coach/school will win the lottery if they scoop her up early. She has had some awesome training over the years with her coaches and you can easily see how she has absorbed it all and put it into play on the court. Her ability to create angles and soften contact with her platform is unmatched in the south Texas region. Stay tuned for more on this phenom as we cover her this season.

Ranked eighth in the position and 49th overall, Cano was a freshman at Sharyland Pioneer at the high school level and is another class of 2027 libero to be playing up at club, with McAllen Fierce 16-1. Efficiency is the name of the game with her and the libero is fully capable of executing her duties on the court because of how technical and mentally strong she is. Cano has all the skills to shine on the backcourt and her focus on executing each action in the right way is unwavering. She’s very strong defensively, getting a lot of touches on the backcourt, and also takes on a major role in serve-receive very effectively.

A class of 2027 libero, Cano will be playing one age group up this weekend with McAllen Fierce 16-1 in the 16 Bid division. She’s used to playing against older opponents and she can only do that because of how mentally strong and technically developed her game is. Despite still being very young, Cano won’t put a foot wrong with her defensive routine because she’s extremely focused and well-trained. That allows her to perform every action in the right way and deliver excellent results on the back. The libero gets a lot of touches on the backcourt and is extremely precise with each of them, playing a major role for her team.
