Belle is such a natural defensive dynamo. She is everywhere on the court, in coverage, defense, and serve receive. Nothing drops on her in the back row. Belle is relaxed and confident on the court as well, trusting her instincts and reacting quickly to the ball. She had 6 assists, an ace, and 16 digs in the championship match. She also had zero reception errors. Considering how many balls she passes in serve receive, that is a huge accomplishment.

Shea has had a huge year and I hope that keeps rolling for her. She won a Division 2 State Championship with Xavier as their defensive leader and then she made FC Elite 18 Elite. The beautiful part of Shea’s game is that she is such a great utility player because she can play any position. She is also a talented beach player so if anyone is looking for a dual indoor/outdoor player, she’s your gal! If not, she could be a standout at either so check her out on Court 1 on Saturday morning!

Belle was dominant in both the semifinal and championship matches. She was confident, gritty, and never gave up on a ball. Belle’s serve receive was a huge asset to the Xavier Hawks, and her passes kept her setter in system most of the time. She controlled the backcourt like a pro and earned all-tournament team for her efforts.
