You’ve heard of a double-double. MJ messed around and got a triple-double(it was a good day). But rarely do you hear about a quadruple-double.

This week was one of those rare occasions. In fact, it was the first quadruple-double in Northside history.

Any one of those numbers would make for a solid night for most players. Putting up all four in the same match? Unheard of!

Coach Matthew Waack has been bragging about his junior right side since workouts began. At an earlier playday in Conway, he told me to watch out because either of his right sides could turn around and set. He called Freeman-Rhone a special athlete and a relentless worker. That’s what it takes to have a night like this.

And this wasn’t a fluke. Jalliyah leads the Lady Bears with 3.3 kills per set while hitting .333. She has also had eight matches with double-digit assists, but nothing quite like what she did against Rogers.

Northside completed a 2-0 conference week before heading to Carl Junction, Missouri, for the Four States Classic. The Lady Bears faced teams from across the Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma and put together a strong 3-2 showing.

Jalliyah is one of Coach Matthew Waack’s most versatile players. Northside returns plenty of offensive firepower this season, bringing back three of its top four kill leaders from 2025. With only Caroline McKinney graduating from that group, the Lady Bears have the pieces in place for another productive offense.

Freeman-Rhone brings much more than production from the right side. The left-hander is equally comfortable turning and setting the ball, giving Northside another option whenever a play breaks down. When I say she’s versatile, the numbers back it up. She finished third on the team in kills, second in hitting percentage, first in blocks, second in digs, second in assists, and first in aces. That’s about as complete a stat line as you’ll find.

Jalliyah combines a powerful arm with soft hands and a high volleyball IQ. She influences every phase of the match and gives her coaching staff tremendous flexibility because she can excel in so many different roles. As she continues to develop, don’t be surprised to see her climb even higher in the Prep Dig Arkansas rankings.

Freeman-Rhone brings physicality to every rotation. Jalliyah is an exciting player that can light it up from the pin. She combines efficient offense with one of the strongest blocking totals among returning right sides, giving her the ability to influence matches whether she’s scoring points or slowing opposing attacks. She was all over the stats sheet for Northside last season. Jalliyah was top 3 is every category and she led in blocks and aces. She is a true all around talent.

 Freeman established herself as one of the more physically imposing right sides at the event, thanks to her left-handed presence, length, and ability to create offense from multiple attacking angles. Her explosive approach and wingspan allowed her to score effectively both cross-court and down the line, particularly against bigger blocks. She consistently stayed available in transition and handled tight balls along the net with confidence and control. Defensively, Freeman was a major factor at the pin, using disciplined hands and strong positioning to slow opposing outsides and help organize the block against high-powered offenses. Her performance against Memphis Academy’s physical pin hitters highlighted her value on both sides of the ball, as her blocking presence and ability to swing over larger defenders kept Fort Smith competitive throughout key stretches.
