McGregor has been dishing out “one-ups” to her NPJ Salem 17 National attackers this club season. A 2027 prospect from Valley Catholic, McGregor has helped her team earn the 17 National bid out of the CEVA Region- she will reverse the flow and does an excellent job staying calm and repeatable in her setting motion. Her ability to lead a team and deliver wins has her ranked in the Top 20 of the 2027 class in Oregon.

McGregor, a junior for Valley Catholic, is an active setter with great hands. She plays well at the net, pushing balls to her pins and running a fast offense. You can tell she trusts her hitters by the way she sets them, on or off the net.

A soft touch, strong hands, and consistency in location is what any coach would want in a setter and Jaya McGregor Jaya McGregor 5'7" | S Valley Catholic | 2027 State OR brings all that and more. McGregor runs a fast offense, is not afraid to feed her middles, and switches up her distribution with ease all while being an anchor in the back row, digging anything that comes her way.

Previous rank: #23

McGregor has seen a sharp rise in her game—and her ranking—thanks to standout performances with Valley Catholic and NPJ Salem 16-1 National. Her improved hand strength allows her to deliver clean sets to the pins from anywhere on the court, even when off balance. She consistently runs a fast tempo and uses her court vision to set against the grain, keeping opposing defenses on their toes. Her decision-making and playmaking ability have taken her game to the next level.

McGregor has consistently hung in the top 25 for the class of 2027, now sitting at the #5 overall setter, according to PrepDig Oregon rankings. She is dynamic and athletic on the court. Over the past year, her jump setting and overall technique have greatly improved. She is an athlete who looks more refined each time I watch her play.
