We remain fascinated by Lincoln Standing Bear’s continued progression as a new addition to the Star City scene. Engelbart is ready to take the Grizzlies to the next level. She dominated on the left antenna for Nebraska Juniors 17 Black, helping the team compile its laundry list of podium appearances. Engelbart’s sharp, whippy swing can drive into the crosscourt or cut down the line. She will not be deterred by passing volume in the frontcourt, either. Senior leaders like Engelbart can set a new standard for Standing Bear.

Despite Lincoln Standing Bear being a relatively new team on the block, the Grizzlies have no shortage of reliable frontcourt firepower. Engelbart has carried the banner for the 2027s with three kills per set and a wealth of positive contributions across the back row. She produced a double-digit-kill performance in just two sets against Lincoln Pius X, exhibiting Engelbart’s ability to step up against elite competition. A trip to the LPS Classic’s Gold bracket should elevate Standing Bear’s growing confidence.

Engelbart joined a stacked group of Nebraska Juniors athletes at our Stock Up Showcase. This junior-to-be at Lincoln Standing Bear was a leading terminator for Nebraska Juniors 16 Black and soared above the net tape during last weekend’s event. Engelbart’s immediate impression in hitting lines set the tone for her continued dominance in six-on-six drills. The Lincoln-area prep race will have some serious depth this fall.
