About Jocelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a OH hitter but a true utility, versatile and good at every position in the court. I am a team leader with excellent communication. I am coachable and obsessed with learning and getting feedback. I love playing middle and left back, and am a great defender.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My coach has chosen me to be his junior assistant to lead younger kids. I have a high volleyball IQ and true passion for this sport, and I never miss a 6 am work out. I’m here for passion not because of my parents.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I coach 14s, walk dogs, and work at a restaurant.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As the oldest sibling in my family I’m extremely responsible and hard working. I was given camper of the day award at UL elite camp for my communication and teamwork.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My dad was abusive and thankfully my mom was able to gain full custody when I was 13. I have adhd and it’s my super power. I’m able to hyper focus on my passion, and accomplish more in a shorter time than most. I started later in my volleyball career, then my peers, and have had to work 10x harder to get to where I am today.

What type of college are you looking for?

A good community and great coaching.
