Mehaffy joins Webber as a versatile, play-making senior capable of impacting the match on a consistent basis. She can attack from anywhere along the front row. While Mehaffy might fit best on the right side in college, she also has a good feel for hitting at the other pin. Her helping in the middle shouldn’t be ruled out, either. Mehaffy flashes the potential for growth in defending and already does it well.

I watched Mehaffy play a few times during the prep season for Marion and was impressed. She put together a consistently good performance in this event, too. She times her hits well and gets good depth on them, creating problems for opponents trying to stay in system. While the right side is her best position, she also hits it with gusto from the opposite pin. She’s a fundamentally sound player, too.
