I caught Kriegel in action at the beginning of the club season during the M1 Rochester Elite Scrimmages in early January. That the first time scouting her in person since the last club campaign. The growth of her game was noticeable. It continued throughout the last three months leading up to the USAV 15U Iowa Regional at the end of March. Kriegel had made another jump forward in her development. She engineered a third-place finish in the tournament with a broad base of skills at the setter position. Kriegel has a great feel for match flow and picks up information about the opponent with each point. She exploits holes in the defense whether setting up the right attacker or by dumping the ball into empty areas with precision. A good athlete with sharp reflexes, Kriegel defends well in the back row and holds up in serve-receive. Her defense at the net is improving with more room to grow.

has been on my radar this club season, and for good reason. She’s already showing impressive command of the court, with precise tempo, clean hands, and timing that consistently connects with her attackers. Her ability to run an offense with poise sets her apart at this age. Heading into her freshman year at Marion High School, Taylor will have strong leadership around her—and she’s the type of player who absorbs, adapts, and levels up quickly. We are excited to watch her growth this season. We’ll definitely be tracking Taylor over the next four years!

Running the operation for one of the soundest teams in 14U, Kriegel is a well-rounded setter that could help out the Wolves varsity in 2025. There’s experience ahead of her on the roster, but don’t count Kriegel out as a potential rotation piece. Her future is bright with what she’s put on the court this club season. CIA finished third at the Iowa Regional, earning a USAV Nationals bid. Kriegel gets the ball to her attackers accurately and on time. She sees the court well and locates holes in the defense. Kriegel is solid in serve-receive and her swing shows potential.
