Juliet is building a versatile game. She has played outside, is playing opposite for Thousand Oaks and is working toward setting for her club team. She says opposite has added blocking, which she expects to carry over once she sets full-time. She is with Sports Academy VBC U15 Girls Premier this club season. She was featured in my April 2026 Powerhouse Pins piece from the Salt Lake City Showcase.

Juliet’s Voice “I’ve always played outside hitter, but I’ve been really curious about setting for a while now. I’ve tried to build an all-around game that can help a team in whatever role is needed, and this high school season at opposite has been a chance to do exactly that while I keep working toward setter for club. Playing opposite has let me add blocking to my game in a real way, which should carry over once I start setting full-time. Heading into Wednesday I’m focused on competing hard, trusting my teammates, and playing with the same energy we’ve had all season.”

Juliet plays at Thousand Oaks High School and Sports Academy Volleyball Club.  The 2029 standout showed up at this showcase and gave every college coach watching a clear and compelling reason to write her name down immediately. Miss Thompson attacks with a physicality and willingness to swing in contested situations that most players her age simply do not have, and the confidence she plays with at the pin tells you she has been in big moments before and learned from them. Her approach mechanics are clean and she arrives at the ball in a strong position consistently rather than improvising based on where the pass lands, which is the sign of a hitter who has put in serious technical work on her craft. She stays engaged defensively and does not disappear from the point when the ball is not coming to her, which is a maturity indicator that coaches at the next level prioritize when evaluating young attackers. There is still significant development ahead of her, but the foundation is already built well enough to project with real confidence. Juliet is a 2029 outside hitter who deserves serious attention from programs building their recruiting boards early. Juliet Thompson generated power down the line and stayed disciplined on block defense. She held her positioning and made controlled decisions at the net, contributing without overreaching. Her ability to stay structured added stability to her side.
