About Jurnee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a gritty setter who loves to run a quick offense. i am quick to the ball and can run down a bad pass, but my favorite part is when there are several options with a pass and I am able to run my offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a cheerleader for my teammates, but am also intense through the game. I have been told that I am one of the hardest workers out there and love to get the most from my teammates while giving it my all.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer for Unified Basketball as a peer athlete with students with disabilities. I also am a member of the People's 1st Club and help with the Special Education Prom in our Valley. I also volunteer in the child care at my church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Covid really hit me hard. I struggled with being behind a computer screen and struggled with attention as well as feeling positively about myself. Volleyball was the only thing that kept me sane. My Mom helped me by making practices doable in a different way so that I was able to hold onto volleyball and have those relationships.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers strong academics, a supportive campus community, and opportunities to get involved both inside and outside the classroom, small to medium class sizes, and a strong athletic program.
