Kaiya Ramos is a stellar middle blocker in the class of 2030 whose ceiling is genuinely wide open. The attributes that define great middles at the next level like closing angle at the block, swing efficiency against fast tempos, and first-step quickness off the net are the things that show up earliest in a prospect’s development and signal trajectory. What makes her interesting beyond the frame is that she is already competing in a national environment before her high school career has meaningfully started, which suggests both a competitive drive and a club development path that is accelerating her exposure. I am excited to watch her lateral movement and whether her blocking instincts feel natural or reactive against some of the older competition.  I will spend a lot of time with the middles and deliver some insight that I find.
