How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am an athletic pin who can score in multiple ways. My ability to play above the net allows me to see the floor and make shot selections. I am improving on my backrow play and because of my speed and quickness I am able to cover a lot of the floor and pick up balls that other players might miss. Very energetic and a momentum changer.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I was originally a basketball player, and started playing Volleyball in 6th grade. I was told no and had to play on lower level teams, but I didn't let that stop me. I got in the gym and worked on my skills. My personality is very fun, competitive and hardworking. I always get my team hype and like to have fun on the court. You can find me dancing
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I was inducted into the NJHS in middle school. I've participated in the STEM program at my school the last 3 years.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed my leadership skills over the years, after being a leader on the basketball floor. I came into volleyball at the bottom of the totem pole and that gave me a different outlook on how to follow a leader. This helped me be a better leader a teammate because I remembered what I needed from the leaders on my team the first couple of years learning a new sport in volleyball.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, in 6th grade I contracted Covid and was hospitalized. This caused me to miss most of basketball, and that's how I started playing volleyball. It was an adjustment going from being successful at one sport to basically becoming a bench player in a new sport. It was humbling and hard, but it taught me how to push through.
What type of college are you looking for?
I want to play at the highest level I am capable of. I want to be an engineer so it would have to be somewhere that will provide that opportunity for that as well.
