Dynasty 16 Black has set the standard for the Heart of America Region, culminating in a runner-up finish at last weekend’s qualifier. Lynnes was a major catalyst for the effort with her unwavering hustle in the back row. The Mill Valley sophomore brings everything you’d expect from a Dynasty libero: pinpoint passing, a steady platform, and plenty of vocal leadership. But Lynnes also doesn’t mind making the routine, unheralded plays that don’t always garner recognition. It’s the life of a libero, but Lynnes has embraced it.

Lynnes is the mezzo-soprano of this Kansas crop of liberos. She is ranked No. 33 overall and the No. 1-ranked libero in the class. There are a couple of solid defensive hitters ranked above her (Spoiler Alert for tomorrow’s report); however, she is the highest-ranked back-row beast in the incoming Kansas junior class. She finished her sophomore campaign with 283 digs and 355 serve receptions. She is an athlete college coaches will want to watch on “Opening Night,” or any night, for that matter.

Lynnes is a libero for the Dynasty 16-1 team. I saw her play for Spring Hill before she transferred to Mill Valley. She has quick feet, moves well laterally, and makes consistent first passes. It will be interesting to see how she has evolved since her freshman season. She is ranked No. 28 overall and is the top-ranked libero in the Kansas Class of 2028. She finished her sophomore season with the Jaguars with 283 digs and 355 serve receptions, after collecting 421 digs and 568 receptions as a freshman.

Here is another Mill Valley player whom I saw play for Spring Hill last season. She is a talented libero who is ranked No. 20 overall. and is the No. 1 ranked DS/L in the Class of 2028. Lynnes is a talented defensive player who is coming off a great freshman season. Since she is changing schools, it will be interesting to see where she fits in on the Jaguar roster. She and Baine could make an exciting one-two-punch to watch in the future.

Spring Hill is a tough program for a freshman looking for varsity playing time right out of the chute. However, Lynnes cracked the starting lineup for the Broncos and grabbed the opportunity by the reins. She posted impressive numbers during her freshman season, including 421 digs, 568 serve receptions, and 137 assists. She is ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Dig Kansas and is the top-ranked libero in the Kansas Class of 2028.

Lynnes is the No. 1 ranked libero in this class. She is currently ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Dig. The Spring Hill freshman recorded 412 digs in 100 sets played. I saw the Bronco defender a couple of times during the prep season and was impressed with how poised her game was as a freshman.

In order to win an Open National Championship, you have to have incredible defense and Dynasty 14 Black brought the best in my opinion. The anchor of that stifling defense was Linnes, who had absolutely no fear in the back row. Time and time again she stood her ground, digging some absolute lasers in left back, especially from the opposition’s right-side attack. The hard driven digs she made over and over kept the energy high for her team down the long stretch of nationals, and really frustrated and wore down opposing teams over time. What I really loved about Haedyn is her ability to pass at this age. This Dynasty team is loaded with weapons, so when they were in system, they were almost impossible to stop, and with Linnes on the floor they were able to be in system A LOT of the time. This young DS has a bright future ahead of her in high school!
