Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Nebraska Elite’s talented 18s squad has a new go-to attacker. It was hard not to notice Heidemann’s emergence in the 18 VC Elite lineup, as she was a scoring threat in all six rotations at the Power League. If there were any questions that the Montana State was back to her dominant form, those questions will soon cease.

An ultra-competitive player like Heidemann couldn’t have enjoyed sitting on the bench during last year’s state championships after a late-season injury. But, I think her competitiveness is better demonstrated by how Heidemann has bounced back from these unfortunate circumstances. The Diller-Odell senior leads all Nebraska attackers in total kills–and by a massive margin. She has 626 kills this season, over 100 more than the next-best total in the state. Compiling 6.6 kills per set on a .478 clip is simply mind-boggling, and that’s reason enough to keep tabs on the Griffins in Lincoln.

It’s nice to see Heidemann back in action. Diller-Odell has clearly relished her return, as the Montana State commit is pumping out almost seven kills per set on a staggering .455 hitting percentage. Those are jaw-dropping numbers that help affirm that Heidemann is back and better than ever.
