Speed, speed and more speed, with a big heaping side of explosiveness. 4A state champ Katelyn is a primary-passing, six-rotation outside that is as explosive as they come, all with the volleyball acuity to minimize errors—a set of traits that you just don’t see with freshmen. Her whip of an arm, coupled with a max jump bordering on ten feet, make any tempo offense look THAT much faster. One of the most complete hitters of the Freshman Showcase. Katelyn has great natural timing & tempo in her approach. Connecting with all types of setters, she stood out as a hitter who would score regardless of which Pin she hit from. With a fast arm swing and an ability to contact the ball at her highest point nearly every time, Katelyn had tons of success from the back row. Joining a great high school program, I would only expect her all-around ability to continue to grow.
