Katherine has good height at 6’2″. She also swings left handed, which is a perfect place for the right side. Her 9’5″ approach jump could use a little more lift, but that is why she plays for the second team. I did not see her name on the Mountain View volleyball roster, which is where she played last year.
She impressed at a recent Prep Dig Exposure tour in Richmond, putting a number of balls away. She fell just short of a top performer.
Her bio indicates she enjoys her practices hard. With that kind of attitude she can only get better.

Whenever you find a 6’2″ right side who swings left handed you have to take notice. She brings good enthusiasm to the court. Katherine did not play on the varsity for Mountain View last year, but it would not surprise me to see her on the court this year. Though she does hit left handed she can probably slide over to the left side to provide some offense. As with most players in the 2027 class she still needs to work on her timing and consistency hitting the outside set.

Katherine is a teammate of Alyssa at Mountain View but played for the junior varsity team. In her early years she set but she enjoyed the rewards of hitting so much she decided to focus on the hitting aspect of the right side. Her lefthanded swing is perfect for the position as is her 6’1″ height. Katherine still needs to work on improving the rawness in her game but the tools that exist are promising.
