Last year Aaliyah hit outside for Blue Ridge . This year she made the switch to Paramount to get more national attention. With her and Annika Dandridge Annika Dandridge 6'1" | OH TCHS Of Baltimore | 2027 State VA dealing missiles from the left side position it takes the pressure off Taylor Harrington Taylor Harrington 6'3" | MB Wakefield | 2027 State #10 Nation VA in the middle. When working on all cylinders this is a wide open offense.

When I watched Aaliyah play for Millbrook she was taken out in the back row. For Paramount she plays six rotations for the most part, providing offense with her back row attack. Her back row play appeared solid. Late in the set Paramount may bring in a defensive specialist.

While she lists at 5’10” there appears to be a little more growth in her.

Aaliyah is not afraid to swing hard when she gets the set. She appears to fear no block.

Last year she played for Blue Ridge . While she currently stands at 5’10” it would not surprise me to see more growth. Aaliyah stands out as probably the most athletic player on the team. She can fly to the net, also reaching 10 feet with her approach jump.

Aaliyah dominated from the outside at the MAPL tournament. She is difficult to block because she creates so much velocity with her fast arm swing that the balls ricochet off the hands in many unpredictable locations. At MAPL she was the go to girl on the outside.
