Barns is an explosive pin attacker that has all the shots in her toolbelt. She has a fast armswing that acts as a whip but she has the ball control to partner with it. Barns is quick in the air and her athleticism gets her out of tough situations.

Barns brings a lot of explosive energy and really fuels the fire for the Jaguars. She is aggressive at the net and from the service line. And maybe aggressive isn’t the word for it. Maybe relentless is a better word. Low flat laser beams into the seams created a lot of issues for Minneapolis Southwest from the get go. I am really loving the way she reads the game on defense.

Barns is very new to me but her arm speaks for itself. She doesn’t hesitate to use the block, speed up her approach, or use a crafty roll shot for the point. Barns can terminate from either pin as well as the back row and she’s smart about taking a tight set and recycling it. She can also hit a faster tempo making her hard to predict.
