Committed to Lewis and Clark State, Focht had an outstanding season leading the way for her 17 Drew team through Nationals in Vegas. She beats the ball to the spot and will send a set to her middle from off the net or push a long back set to the right side to find a good matchup.

The West Valley Spokane setter continues to improve her craft year after year, Focht had a terrific season playing with the RVC 16 Kari team. During the high school season, she will be the main cog in the Eagle’s starting six and may spend time attacking as well as setting. Focht showed a greater understanding of finding positive matchups for her attackers this season and continued to be tough on opposing passers from the service line.

Focht is an experienced performer who has been setting at the varsity level for West Valley (Spokane) since her freshman season. This year she captured first-team all GSL 2A honors and is developing into a dynamic playmaker and leader on the court. Watching her work this season, she is jump-setting to both pins. Focht has been able to stay accurate with her set location while increasing the tempo to her outside hitters, giving them wide-open seams to work with. The team has the potential to run a super-quick offense with the athletes on the pin, Focht should be able to make that happen as a distributor in the 6-2 Renovators offense.
