Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
I don’t follow Illinois prep volleyball but quite a few Land of Lincoln residents compete for Iowa clubs. I enjoy the exposure to talent from our neighbors to the the east. That happened at the 2026 Nike President’s Day Classic in St. Louis when watching Adrenaline 17 Marty. Bauer brings a loud game to the middle of the net. She makes up for being undersized by jumping out of the gym. Bauer generates serious power with her right arm, rearing back and dropping the hammer. Her explosion and timing lead to producing an effective block. Bauer is athletic and moves well laterally. She’s uncommitted and could help plenty of college programs.

I saw Bauer play earlier in the club season. This girl has the potential to be crazy good. She has a huge vertical, wicked fast arm swing, and great court awareness. When you combine her hops and athleticism with her rocket for an arm, you have a phenomenal outside that any coach would want. Bauer is also a versatile attacker. During the club season she was playing outside, attacking from the pins fearlessly, however, during the school season she was a beast in the middle.

Bauer was one of the most impressive surprises I found at this tournament. This girl can HIT. She is powerful, explosive and quick. She has the potential to be a big time player with her combined height, speed, and fast, heavy arm swing. She is also versatile and can attack from both pins, is solid on serve receive, and also has a good float serve.
