Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile six rotation pin hitter and can be used as a DS as well. I am not the tallest but I am very aggressive at the net and take advantage of my speed, vertical, and fast arm swing. I use my ball knowledge and toolbox to quickly think of effective shots to use. When playing middle back, I can cover a lot of court and can read the opponent to get to balls quicker.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a determined and focused person both on and off the court. Bringing energy and being a positive resource for my teammates is very important to me and can elevate my game play and that of my teammates. Not being the tallest has pushed me to be a hard worker and heightened my sense of competition.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I attend youth group every week and I frequently volunteer to help coach young volleyball players at camps and clinics held by my school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Spending time working with younger kids has given me a sense of community service and leadership skills. I have also developed a strong sense of teamwork through my involvement in high school sports.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In eighth grade I broke my ankle at volleyball practice and was not able to play for the remainder of my season. Recovery after surgery was lengthy and I had a hard time with not being able to walk and not playing the sports I Ioved, but I learned how to make the most of a bad situation and I also had to learn how to work hard to get back to where I was with athletics through physical therapy.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a school that can provide a positive athletic and academic experience. I am seeking a team that has a positive coaching staff and a good team culture that will help my teammates and I have an enjoyable college volleyball experience. I am interested in finding a program that will be supportive of every athlete and help us become our best selves as students and as athletes.
