About Kennady

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Scrappy going for everything seeing if I can do anything to get the ball up. Dominat being confident and stepping in where I am needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Next ball mentality shaking off what ever has happened and just having fun with the sport. Also I am a loud commutative person calling out shots and what going happening on the other side of the net.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in involved in LHS it is a club through my school to raise money for cancer research. I am also involved with helping out with Down syndrome association with my school Coach!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think I have grown this year especially In my confidence and leadership , not second guessing myself and going for everything. I think I have also learned how to lean on my team and work hard as a team not juts individual and work hard as a team in tough situations not just the good momments when it’s easy!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes getting cut from teams and just being put down overall involleyball. I have learned to just work harder and I feel like that has paid off with school team outcomes and club team outcomes.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that has a family based team that support eachother no matter what. That have each others back no matter the outcome. A team that pushes me to become the best I can be.

Horsley’s (*pictured) impact may go unnoticed at times as her effort through three rotations as a defensive specialist doesn’t necessarily get the praise as much as the attackers on the other end of her ball control. The Kings product led her team with 320 digs this past Fall and has carried over that effort and confidence for NKYVC’s top 17U team, one that has pieces to compete well this coming weekend. She moves efficiently in serve receive while also creating range and reaction to put her setters into manageable situations for transition offense.
