Lola makes coaching easy. She is extremely coachable and versatile. She’s the best teammate, the reason for being voted captain, and she truly supports each and every player. She’s been a pleasure to coach the last couple of months as she is passionate, works extremely hard, and continues to be a leader on the court, vocally and physically.

Emerging as one of the best arms in the greater Cincy area as well as the full Ohio landscape, one with length, high contact point, pace and range, Waleskowski (*pictured) is a huge threat any time she approaches to swing. Her contributions at the recent Central Zones event were tangible given she is multidimensional in what she can contribute for her team. She can score aggressively from either side of the court, but may be more lethal from the right side where she sees most of her opportunities. Her size is as asset defensively at the net while she has good mechanics to get up and over the net fast to pressure opponents. Add that she can be solid in the serve receive game, and I can confidently say that Waleskowski has established herself as an elite-potential athlete without much visible weakness.

Waleskowski played a big role in leading the Bulldogs to the Division II state championship giving them quality time on the front row. Waleskowski has a nasty cutter to the right line. She can smack it from all over the net, especially the creases. Waleskowski makes things happen when the team is out of system. She hits balls off blockers and out of bounds. Waleskowski finished fourth on the deep team with 168 kills, helping the Bulldogs go 23-4 and snag a share of the Girls Greater Catholic League crown.

St. Ursula of Cincinnati earned the DII state title with a hard fought five-set victory in the final match of the season. Waleskowski was a top-20 offensive performer in the super tough GGCL as just over two kills per set, which include nine kills in a balanced Bulldog effort in the championship match. She has upgraded her offense with contact point, power, and range with confidence to command the ball to take big swings in big moments if needed. NKYVC was very competitive last season with her playing six-rotations and we should see more fo the same over the coming months.

Possibly the x-factor for this team, Waleskowski is averaging 2.1 k/s, third best offensively for the Bulldogs. Just a sophomore, the 6’1 pin has increased her numbers from 2023 with more significant opportunities to swing. With a season high 11 kills in their most recent match, a tough 3-1 loss to Kentucky #2 Notre Dame Academy, she took some big confident swings while also showing good control and finesse. Her ability to terminate elevates offensive balance.
