About Kennedy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a disciplined, high-energy defender who values consistency, communication, and making plays when points matter most.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm calm, coachable, and team-first. I respond well to feedback, stay composed in challenging moments and focus on continuous improvement.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a student ambassador, senior leader and a black student union member at school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a volunteer at University of Maryland Medical Center, Shock Trauma, in Baltimore and Habitat for Humanity.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had asthma and food allergies since I was 2. I outgrew some of my food allergies and know how to manage my asthma. Neither are an issue now.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm pretty open, but would prefer to be in a city setting.

Kennedy had a very solid season for Glenelg, ending in a county championship, and this year made the jump from Paramount to Metro 18T, where she’s been the ‘bro quite a bit early this season over some other spectacular DS. I had to give some love to my shorter DS, at a position where being closer to the floor is an advantage. I will say in the times I’ve seen Kennedy she plays hard shots well, which is one of the main things you are asking from your DS at this level. Being able to save clean, hard shots puts a point back on the board for your team.
