Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
While she may be the smallest middle blocker for Paramount at 6’0″ she brings the best timing for quick tempo sets. Her approach jump reaches 9’11”. Paramount uses her at right side as well but her timing for hitting the higher sets is not as strong. Still, her ability to play both positions gives a team versatility.
For her high school team, she actually hits left side. While she hits the ball well she lacks that consistency she brings when playing the middle. It does appear she has the ability to play a decent back row if given the opportunity, but I have not seen a lot of her high school matches.
Paramount plays in back to back Qualifiers at the Show Me in Kansas City and at the Windy City.

One attribute you have to admire about Raegan is her ability to hit the quick tempo sets. Even though she only stands 6’0″ her quick feet allow for impeccable timing to get to the ball. No matter the pass she puts herself in a position to hit.
While she hits outside in high school she still has a tendency to approach the set too early hitting underneath the ball. She has no timing issues with the quick sets in the middle.
Her quickness also makes her effective playing defense in the back row after her serve. With some of the larger middles you hope for aces because their coverage in the back court is minimal. With Raegan she brings defense to her game.

At 6’0″ Raegan is a smaller middle. What sets her apart from other middles is her timing for the quick tempo sets. She seems to have a knack for putting the ball away. She also has the quickness that other middles lack.
For her high school Raegan hits outside, but as with most middles converting to the pin brings timing issues. On occasion she approaches early which results in her hitting underneath the ball. She doesn’t seem to carry that same dominance as she does in the middle.
Because of her experience hitting the pins Paramount can use her on the right side.
