Hogue has very fast footwork allowing herself to beat the block or tool the late block. Her versatility of attacks allows her to often swing on no block at all. Hogue can adjust her approach to find open space. Hogue excels at swinging right through the blockers hands. Her height also gives her an advantage to swing over the block. Her versatility throws off the opposing defense, contributing to many points. Her energy is a huge momentum boost for her Ozark Juniors team.
