About Kingsley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I try and play smart and aggressive while understanding the dynamics of the game will have me utilizing a variety of tools from my toolbox. I play both sand and indoor and both have made me a more well-rounded player, with the ability to be agile in how I perform on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a workhouse, always putting in the extra reps and effort. I am very competitive, but not to a point it is a crutch. I use my competitive nature to fuel my desire to get better each and every time I set foot on the court. I strive to lead well, while also understanding there are times to listen and follow.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Junior Honor Society, National Charity League

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I actively participate in National Junior Honor Society and National Charity League. These are both service organizations that cultivate a spirit of community service. As an athlete, the hours spent at the gym are numerous, with the overarching goal of improving your team and yourself. It is important to put that aside and serve your community as well. Service over self.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Each day is a new challenge. When I set foot on the volleyball court, I am evaluating what is going wrong and what is going right. I have taken every failure, every loss, and every error as an opportunity to improve my game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with culture of pride, respect and family. I want a college that recruits hard working athletes who want to win on the volleyball court, while developing the individual itself, off the court, with character and integrity.
