She believes what separates her from others in the 2027 class isn’t just her physical ability, it’s the energy, determination, and positivity she brings every day. Whether her team is leading or trailing, Hammett prides herself on staying composed, playing with confidence, and competing for every point. “I think what separates me from other players is my mindset and the energy I bring every day,” Hammett said. “I’m always looking for ways to become a better teammate and an overall better player.”

Finding the right college fit goes beyond volleyball for Hammett. She is looking for a program that feels like family, values player development, and emphasizes a strong team culture. Academics are equally important as she prepares for life after volleyball. “I want to be surrounded by coaches and teammates who push me to be my best on and off the court,” she said. “Overall, I’m looking for a program that values discipline, strong team culture, player development, and a positive environment.”

IHammett hopes coahces recognize the qualities that don’t always show up in the stat sheet.”I would want them to know that they’re getting a player who will compete for every point and do what is needed for the team to succeed,” she said. “I bring energy, effort, and passion every time I step on the court.” She believes great teams are built on connection, communication, and accountability, and those are the traits she strives to bring every day.

Scout’s Take: Hammett is a true six-rotation outside hitter whose athleticism is matched by her competitiveness. She plays with confidence, embraces leadership through her actions, and has the ability to impact matches in both the front and back row. Her combination of offensive production, positive energy, and team-first mentality makes her one of the more intriguing uncommitted outside hitters in Arkansas’ 2027 class. She has been on my radar since seeing her at a college coaches camp.

Hammett enters her senior season with an impressive resume. During her high school career, she has accumulated 140 sets played, 311 kills, 418 digs, and 48 aces with a majority of that production coming in a breakout junior campaign.

At camp, Kinley showcased exactly why she has been so productive. Her quickness and explosive leaping ability immediately stood out. Offensively, she showed the ability to score in many ways, tooling the blocks, attacking sharp angles and mixing power with finesse shots.

Her all-around game was evident throughout the afternoon session, making her one of the most complete players in attendance. Her upbeat attitude and obvious love of the game came out as well.
