About Kova
Expert Analysis
Jeremy Strain | Prep Dig Scout
Kova is going to end up being one of the top recruits in the national 2030 group. She’s 5’11 right now, but as an 8th grader, she still might have a couple inches left in her. What’s scary is that she already touches 10’3, and if she still has a bit to go, she could in theory get into Kari Knotts territory, which is in the 10’8 range. Kova also has a large wing span which contributes to why she’s touching 10’3, she’s got a nice strong arm whip that creates a lot of power. I actually HEARD her hitting before I saw her, when someone hits that hard, they stand out. She plays for Club Sand, which is a top level club nationally, and when the 2030 rankings hit she’s a contender for the top of the list.

Kova is a class of 2030 outside hitter and right side from Club Sand Volleyball. She is one of the more intriguing young prospects in a class that is still largely under the radar nationally and deserves serious attention from programs willing to invest in early evaluation. Miss Symkoviak brings the physical profile that college staffs actively recruit at the pin, and the fact that she is still a 2030 means the athletic development ahead of her is potentially significant on top of an already impressive foundation. She attacks with a confidence and physicality that is simply not common in players her age, showing the ability to take contested swings and finish through contact rather than hoping the ball finds the floor. What stands out beyond the raw tools is how she processes the game on the right side, reading the block and adjusting her attack angles in real time rather than committing early, which reflects a volleyball maturity that usually takes years longer to develop. Kova is an open-ended prospect whose ceiling has not been established yet, and that is precisely why the programs that identify her now will look very smart in a few years. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

Kova Symkoviak played with power and physicality at the net. She pressed well on the block and used her strength to create advantages offensively. Beyond the physical side, she made smart decisions that allowed her to stay effective across rallies.

brings a physical presence to the pin, with a clear identity built around attacking and applying pressure from both the outside and right side. Her emphasis on being a “weapon” reflects an athlete who is already leaning into her role as a point scorer, using her length and approach to create advantages over the block.
“My whole team has a strong work ethic so TOGETHER we are fierce!”
Her response reflects a player who feeds off team energy and shared effort, with a competitive mindset that extends beyond individual performance. There is a strong connection between her confidence and the environment she is training in, which is reinforcing her development.
She has been working on both hitting and blocking, continuing to build her presence at the net on both sides of the ball. That dual focus supports her ability to impact rallies not just offensively, but by contributing to defensive structure through her blocking.
Her decision to attend this showcase reflects a desire to compete, connect, and continue improving in a high-level environment, with a clear openness to learning and growth.

had an impressive showing at Kansas City Triple Crown this year. At just 14-years-old, Kova now touches 10’3” and her height and reach are clearly making an impact on the court. She battled through several tough matchups and still scored at will over and around blocks.
Her power and punch behind the ball are undeniable, and every swing she took today carried a level of authority and confidence. What stands out even more is her steady, continued growth over the course of these past few months.
Kova attended the Under Armour Next Camp and proved she belongs among the most elite in the country, and her performance reinforced the trajectory she is on. Kova was extended an invitation back for next year, which further validates the progress she is making and the ceilings she is continuing to raise.

is an athlete who is already on the radar of quite a few big programs. At her age, she is already touching above 10ft and taking impressive swings. She is a vertical athlete who capitalizes when she gets on top of the ball. Her natural strength and athleticism elevate her game and have helped continue her development. One of the highlights of her game is that she is not bound to playing one position.
This weekend, her team was missing one of their middles, and even though it is not her main position, Kova was a great option for her team. She is fluid across the net, and her vertical abilities help create positive touches in defense and absolutely detonate balls. Kova is a player that you do not want to miss.
