About Krea

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I prefer a fast paced, aggressive style of game play. I have played all positions across the back row as well as setter. Balls do not hit the floor and I am not afraid of hustle. I have a strong serve leading my HS team in aces. I am confident in taking out of system balls with my hands from anywhere on the court. I am a vocal leader who encourages in mistakes and sparks energy with successes.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very competitive and goal driven. I am not afraid to put in the hard work to be successful and win. I am always looking for ways to improve myself as a player and a teammate. I tend to face challenges head on and thrive during those clutch moments. On the court, I am loud, energetic, encouraging, and full of hustle. Off the court, I am a work horse in the classroom and in the gym.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been involved in Student Assembly and Student Athlete Leadership for my high school as a freshman and sophomore. I also participated in Indiana's Youth Empowerment Summit in 2025. I was a manager of my high school's inaugural Men's Volleyball Team. I was a member of the Junior National Honor Society in Middle School and was inducted into the National Honor Society for High School.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a multi-sport athlete (volleyball, basketball and track), I have learned time management/organization skills in order to fulfill my obligations as a student, teammate, and child. I have also learned the importance of communication and healthy conflict resolution; Teamwork makes the Dream Work. I have participated in various volunteer opportunities to give back to my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a multi-sport athlete, it is a challenge managing schedules when you have 2 different sports running concurrently; basketball or track with club volleyball. Although coaches may say that multi-sport athletes are supported, actions may speak differently. I have learned to communicate schedules with all my coaches and prioritize attendance. I don't want to let down my coaches or teammates.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that can offer me the whole collegiate experience including strong academics, sports and campus/student life. I would like to attend an institution that will foster my talents and interests while helping me grow as a person into adulthood. I would love to play volleyball at the highest level possible, but academics in the area of sports marketing/management is key.

If you’ve ever seen Martin play you will quickly see there is one skill that clearly elevates her from the rest of the defensive players, especially those who are just sophomores – her setting. This DS can put up a hittable ball from pretty much anywhere on the court (with her hands), whether she is running full speed towards the net or chasing a ball towards the stands. Krea is such an asset to have for this reason alone! But it’s not just about setting with this young lady because she has a solid foundation for all the skills including passing, digging, serving and just flat-out hustle. Martin is a SMART, well-rounded player at a young age who is quickly making a name for herself.
