One of my favorite backcourt beasts on the day was Cardoso. Only a 2030, she is well on her way to being a standout. This young libero is already turning heads on the court with her quickness and excellent court awareness. She consistently positioned herself properly, effectively covering her teammates and anticipating plays. She also demonstrated strong skills in her out of system ball placement and didn’t falter in high pressure moments. Additionally, she impressively used her hands to deliver out of system sets and free balls, a skill that many liberos find difficult. Her quickness, court awareness, and elaborate skill set at such a young age makes her an up and coming defensive player to keep tabs on.
