Day, a senior for Nelson High School, placed second in the vote for top middle. Day is incredibly fast, transitioning off the net at lightning speed and attacking the ball. She has proven to be a very important player on her team, scoring most of their points from out of the middle. Her calm composure, especially in tough situations, is admirable and a key factor in her teams’ wins.

Day, a senior for the Hawks, impressed greatly this past weekend. She is fast in transition, up on almost every ball, and swings hard on the sets she is given. She swings smart on sets that are harder to hit, throwing in tips when necessary. Her “go” or “push 1” is incredibly effective, scoring almost every single time.

However, her play this past club season and current high school as a middle blocker/right side affixed her as a top-10 recruit, according to PrepDig Oregon rankings. She is as athletic as can be, aiding in her ability to pivot quickly to be available in transition. She is explosive off the ground and has impressive leaping abilities. Also, the state’s #1 shooting guard, it is safe to assume Day would like to pursue both volleyball and basketball at the collegiate level.
