At first glance, I thought Lexie was a PIN due to her size. To which this was partially true, she is a Right Side, but that is a secondary position for her. She is a setter, not just any setter; she is one to watch for the future. Steady hands, quick feet to pair with a sneaky athleticism. Makes all the right calls from jump sets, has an excellent touch for back sets, quick back row, and good 4 to the outside. Even getting on the net, making good reads to contest for blocks.

Lexie is another player who shocked me when I found out she’s only a freshman. She has incredibly soft hands and does a great job getting all of her hitters involved, especially her middles. Clanin uses every bit of her height to her advantage and has amazing court vision, often catching defenders off guard. The future looks bright for Clanin, and I can’t wait to see her compete with 1st Alliance this season!
