Choi is the back‑row player who always seems to be in the right spot every single time. She reads plays early, almost knowing where the ball is headed before it leaves the hitter’s hand. Her anticipation makes her a tough challenge for opposing offenses, and she tracks hitters with a calm, controlled urgency. Choi’s passing is precise, and when she needs to make the flashy play, she does it without hesitation, clean platform, sharp angles, full extension. When a player makes the game look easy, you know they’re doing something right. Choi is just one of those players you wonder how it happens but by that time you think about it, she is making another play. 

Adversity 16 Adidas had a huge weekend at Triple Crown. They advanced to the Sweet Sixteen match against eventual champion A5 where they gave them quite the run.  The libero for this team is Morgan Choi Morgan Choi 5'4" | DS/L Glenbrook North | 2028 State IL .  So impressive.  There are a lot of liberos who tend to be diving all over the place, a bit chaotic – not Choi.  I was impressed with how she positioned herself before the attackers made contact. She reads very well, she knows where the ball will be.  This was able to get Adversity in system and run a fast offense propelled by setter Haven Enselman Haven Enselman 5'11" | S/RS Marist | 2029 IL .  This is a team who will be fun to see throughout the qualifier season. 

Morgan’s game is advanced and growing. Anchoring for the loaded Adversity 16 Adidas, she is reacting more quickly and more precisely to the game’s pace. Court awareness is light-years ahead, as if she is anticipating 3 moves ahead while staying in the moment. Her accurate, on-point passing is admirable, and now, with her practically setting from the back row, it adds another dimension to her attack and speed for her team. Morgan’s defense is as efficient as the rest of the game; movement is clean and swift, and nothing gets past her. She is one of the best in class. 

Morgan did a fantastic job in the back row at the showcase. She was sure of herself in the way she moved and made decisions to cover and read. I saw her make a bunch of great passes right to the setter. She seemed strong with her movement and strong with her platform. The type of DS/L you want in your back row.

I always know when I watch a Sports Performance team, their liberos (and really all their passers) are going to be incredibly disciplined and under control.  Morgan Choi Morgan Choi 5'4" | DS/L Glenbrook North | 2028 State IL of SPVB 15 Elite is extremely cool, calm, and collected when it comes to commanding the backrow.  She was making serve receive look real simple with a quiet, controlled platform. When I watch liberos, I don’t need to see them diving, throwing themselves to the floor, I want to see them make the really difficult plays look easy – that’s was Choi does for SPVB.
