About Lindy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

competitive and a strong will to win for my team. want to see my teammates play and succeed as much as me. love working plays that make us all look great to the crowd, and win! i love and play several sports, but volleyball is my love. i want everyone to work as hard as me, and i want to be the hardest worker on and off the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

mentality: i want to win. i want to keep getting better and better. i love sports and competition. i love the atmosphere of athletics Personality: i like to make peace where there is none. i like making people feel appreciated and loved. God is my strength and i want to do the right thing even when the wrong thing is happening

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the pep club. I help with organizations that raise money for children and food prep for less fortunate. Since i was 4, i have helped raise money for Shriner's Childrens Hospital with my family each year. i also have my own jewelry making business that i have been blessed to make money and donate to local needs. I am also a member of PHS JAG program.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

being setter is a leadership roll in itself. seeing the potential in each of them and using their abilities to make the team better. i try to encourage extra work before or after practice with my teammates. I’ve also been a class leader for three years.

What type of college are you looking for?

A school with good academics and a strong competitive fun team. I am willing to move out of Kentucky, but of course UK is a dream of mine since an early age. A school that I can grow with and meet goals to obtain a successful future on and off the court.

Gearheart has made an impact for the Panthers at setter for three seasons, splitting the duties as an eighth grader. The multi-sport Gearheart has nice touches on her sets and first passes, moving her feet into sound position. Gearheart makes things happen out of system. Gearheart should benefit from playing at the national level for club this past season.
