Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
Quagliano is a fun player to watch because of effort and intensity. Versatility also factors into that equation. She’s proven effective lining up at multiple positions when I’ve scouted her with CIA or operating with the Bobcats, where she shines at setter. After stuffing the stat sheet with 845 assists, 148 digs, 49.0 kills and 22.0 blocks as a freshman last season, Quagliano has contributed 565 assists, 114 digs, 30 kills and a pair of blocks in 67 sets this fall. She’s done a nice job feeding the attack, putting the ball where her hitters can pound it, since she arrived on the scene. Quagliano has made the most strides in defending in the back row and in finding holes in the defense when given the opening to end points.

Quagliano was a beast when I saw her play last month. She makes minimal errors due to the fact that she has an excellent shot selection. She reads the court and the defense in front of her well and knows when to take rips down the line, cross court, when to hit the roll/off speed shot, or when a tip is the best way to score. Quagliano’s smart game play makes her that player that you want on the court at all times.
