Andrews, an outside for Nelson, never fails to impress. She was the star of the show this weekend, creating crazy energy and even crazier swings. At one point her team was down 10-17 only to come back to 17-19 due to Madi’s consistent kills. Her control on the net is admirable especially in scramble plays when her sets are off the net.

Senior outside hitter Madi Andrews brings a blend of power, poise, and leadership to Nelson’s lineup. The Michigan State commit plays with grace and composure, but make no mistake, she can absolutely terminate. Whether she’s attacking from the pin or the back row, Andrews is her team’s top scoring threat and a consistent difference-maker.
While her swings are impressive, what sets her apart is her volleyball IQ. She reads the court before she swings, makes smart shot selections, and always seems a step ahead of the defense.
Off the court, she’s humble, supportive, and the kind of teammate every program wants. A leader who lifts others while setting the standard herself.

What Coach Kristen Kelsay is building in East Lansing is pretty special. She has her alma mater off to a hot start, sitting at 14-2 and recently knocked off a ranked Indiana squad. This coaching staff made a splash this June with some big time 2027 recruits, but they also have some key 2026 pieces coming into play. Madi Andrews is one of the top players in the PNW and the top player in Oregon that will be heading to MSU. She is a dynamic six rotation outside who can score points in bunches. She has played her club ball at Athena and preps at Nelson High School in Happy Valley, Oregon. This is the type of player who can take MSU to the next level.
