About Madison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Blocking is one of my favorite parts of the game. Being 6'1" definitely helps because I can get up and press over the net effectively. I play opposite hitter mostly but I can also play middle well. I pride myself on being good at reading hitters and recognizing trends in their game. I think what makes my blocking unque is that I'm not just jumping up and hoping for the best. I have a plan.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'd describe myself as an introverted extrovert. I can be quieter at times and focused on what I am trying to achieve but I care deeply about my teammates. I strive to earn leadership positions on my team whether that's by showing my work ethic, cheering, or ramping up the energy when the team needs it. I'm fiercely competitive and goal oriented. That drives me to keep improving every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am secretary of the photography club at my high school. I have also been consistently on the honor roll at school. I put my academics first and have a goal to graduate with a perfect gpa - 4.0.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I coach elementary school age volleyball teams at the YMCA. I love helping kids learn the sport and achieve gains in their skill. I also volunteer at an assisted living near my home. I have been captain on a few of my volleyball teams and started my first company this year to sell a volleyball journal I wrote for athletes to strategize their game and prioritize their mental health.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges in my personal life and as an athlete. Being so tall, it took me a while to grow into my body. I am also a year younger than most in my grade. I have often had to work my way up in the hierarchy of my teams but this never deters me and I have never failed to achieve a starting position on a team that didnt start that way.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to play volleyball in college. So, it would be great to play somewhere that has a strong program. I also enjoy schools that have a lot of culture and get excited about their teams. I want to feel like I was a part of something instead of being just a number. Lastly, I would enjoy being in a city that has surrounding nature for adventure.

On offense, she combined smart shot selection with raw power in the front row, consistently finding ways to score against tough blocks. Her aggression wasn’t limited to attacking—she was a formidable presence at the net, shutting down opposing hitters and effectively slowing down attacks to give her defenders time to react.

Beyond her physical skills, Madison’s communication and leadership stood out. She encouraged her teammates, kept everyone engaged, and maintained focus throughout every rally. Her effort on transitions, both offensively and defensively, showed her commitment to the full game and her versatility as a player. Watching her play, it’s clear that Madison is a complete athlete who impacts every aspect of the court with intensity, skill, and heart.
