We’ve documented the big changes for Shaw heading into the 2025 club season. She was a star on Nebraska Elite’s top 15s squad last year, helping her team clinch an early Open bid through the Northern Lights Qualifier. This dynamic middle blocker returns to NLQ’s January stage, but Shaw is skipping ahead to play with the 17s. Her high contact point from the middle will make her a persistent setting target when 17 Phoenix remains in system.

Shaw has acclimated well to her new Nebraska Elite squad. She climbs the age ladder to join Nebraska Elite 17 Phoenix, where she can make her mark as a middle blocker or an opposite. Shaw is accustomed to playing in two-setter offenses that let her use her strong approach off of two feet. 17 Phoenix took full advantage of that strength and opened up Shaw for several floor-denting kills. Middle blocker depth is no problem in the Nebraska Elite gym.

Let’s hone in on another versatile athlete from the vaunted Nebraska Elite 15 Revolution lineup. Shaw excelled at middle blocker and right-side hitter for this group, giving 15 Revolution plenty of frontcourt combinations to deploy. She followed this up with 2.5 kills per set for Douglas County West this year on an impressive 0.266 clip.

Shaw nearly made the initial Top 25 after her outstanding club season with Nebraska Elite. This dynamic middle blocker helped her Nebraska Elite squad clinch an early 15 Open bid, setting the stage for Shaw’s further development at USAV Nationals. Now, Shaw is carrying the banner at Douglas County West and has racked up 2.5 kills per set so far. She has already eclipsed her 2023 total in that department and is averaging a 0.319 clip, too. Shaw’s rise should result in a rankings bump.

Nebraska Elite 15 Revolution has a handful of players who fit Shaw’s malleable mold as a middle-opposite hybrid. This Douglas County West standout showed her versatility back in January as 15 Revolution clinched a 15 Open title at NLQ. Shaw excels behind the setter but can also slide into the middle to offer her physicality in that spot. Regardless of position, 15 Revolution gets a ton of blocking prowess from their do-everything athletes along the net.

Shaw was a player we had to have on the watch list after our January visit to Minneapolis. It’s hard not to include a middle blocker who helped her team win a 15 Open championship. Shaw is one of several Nebraska Elite 15 Revolution athletes who can swap between playing middle blocker and opposite. 15 Revolution will find this dynamic attacker regardless of where she’s lined up, and we can’t wait to see how it translates to the GJNC stage.
