Miss George is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays for The John Cooper High School and also plays for the Moco Mavs volleyball club. There were some great setters in the gym during the showcase and Mary proved to be one of the more technical distributors of the ball that we saw. This is the second time that she has earned this prestigious award at one of our showcases this year and that says a lot about her consistency. Blessed with a strong frame and lots of height will have a ton of coaches keeping their eye on her. The way she utilizes her jump set had a lot of blockers fooled during the scrimmage portion. While the setters were warming up in the individual drills, a few of the college coaches were discussing Mary’s footwork and hands with me. We all agreed that she has a lot of potential to lead every team she is on to greatness due to her amazing delivery and location with the ball. With the ball in her hands, you can classify her as a certified sniper with how she is able to paint the bullseye on the target over and over no matter where the set needs to be. I strongly encourage everyone to make their way by her court and you will see what we all saw..a very solid setter who deserves some looks. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

, a 5’9″ setter in the Class of 2028, shows strong technical discipline in her setting. She consistently gets her feet stopped before contact, uses jump sets effectively, and maintains neutral hand positioning on her forehead to deliver clean, controlled balls. Her attention to detail and consistent mechanics make her a reliable option to run an offense and continue developing at a high level.

George is another setter I had been able to cover before – she sets for John Cooper at the high school level and recently switched clubs, going from Texas Legacy to MoCo Mavs. She has a good size and a strong technique, typically a recipe for success for players in the position. In the showcase, it was easy to notice that her playmaking is now steadier and more reliable, as she improved her decision-making in the distribution while remaining accurate with her locations. George also seemed better-equipped to make an impact on defense, remaining focused on the back row and demonstrating improved ball control.

I got to watch George in a few tournaments in the last club season and had a positive impression of her game, but getting to watch her in our showcase showed me how complete and well-rounded she is. She’s an extremely technical setter, who moves well for the ball and consistently makes the right choices with her distribution. George has a long frame and uses it to make contact with the ball at a high point and accelerate the game when working with passes close to the net. She also got to hit from the right on some drills and displayed great vision to put the ball down.
