Scouting her in person at the late-season Westide Invite in Cedar Rapids and again at the state tournament, Schweer was a key reason the Mustangs made it back to Coralville following major graduation losses from the 2024 state championship team. Keeping a rebuilding team regularly in system helps it gain confidence. Schweer succeeds with lateral quickness and quick reactions. She stands in well on serve-receive and is well-positioned against the attack. Schweer is small but tough, a kid willing to work for her dreams.

One of the few holdovers from the Mount Vernon rotation that won the 2024 Class 3A state championship, Schweer has moved into a starring role for the Mustangs this fall. They need strong play from the back row with less firepower up front, and the junior has provided a steady, reliable presence there.
