More of a hybrid middle at the club level, Natalie can easily play right side with authority, just as she does for her 4A top ten high school program. Currently, she’s the M2 for TI’s top 17s team, and is a highly effective defender at the net. I’d like to see her get the ball a bit more in transition, which her club setter isn’t comfortable doing in transition. That’s not Natalie’s fault—just understand that Miss Vance is capable of playing multiple positions that require multiple skill sets that set her apart from others listed as middles. Personally, this aspect of her ability makes her even MORE marketable for the next level.

Although listed as a middle here, Natalie does her best damage from the right pin, and is a pain to hit past on defense. I like her willingness to play any position she can to get (and stay) on the court. Playing for a perennial 4A top-ten squad at CG, Natalie is used to working hard, winning and having a full-go mentality on the court. Her size, strength and all-around knowledge of the game should and will carry her far in the near future.

Natalie was a stud right side. She was incredibly talented as a blocker and stopped a lot of opposing players. She owned the net and was vital in transition and offense as well. Natalie’s fundamentals were solid and caught my eye numerous times during the Expo.
